  • Appeared in a video in 2020 and said:

    • “Right now our country is engaged in a dialogue about race, discrimination, and bias. We can be proud of the diversity in our armed forces but we should not be satisfied. We need to listen to one another, examine areas where we fall short and when necessary enact change.
    • His Command Master Chief then says they need to have “necessary and uncomfortable conversations.” Wilsbach shakes his head in agreement.
    • Wilsbach says, “as a team we will ensure that diversity and inclusion is a reality in PACAF and we’re counting on you to join in this endeavor.”

Participated in a virtual conference in 2020 where the Pacific Air Force commanders hosted speakers to deliver keynotes about the importance of diversity and inclusion.

    • “The group of senior leaders also attended two guest speaker sessions. Malcolm Gladwell, a New York Times best-selling author, spoke about his experiences exploring diversity, inclusion, and bias in society.”

In 2021, he participated in the first-ever PACAF Women, Peace, and Security symposium as a speaker.

In an article he authored in 2021, he stated that diversity was one of his highest priority goals when he took command of the Pacific Air Forces.

    • “When I took command, I laid out four priorities—diversity, readiness, innovation, and lethality—to focus our efforts. Across 16 time zones, 36 nations, 60 percent of the world’s population and thousands of languages, PACAF Airmen in three numbered Air Forces and 9 installations executed those priorities.”
