The Academy Archives is a watchdog providing transparency of the nation’s military. We monitor each academy’s Board of Visitors (BOV) meetings and weigh in on the most pressing issues, holding them accountable to fulfill their oversight duties.

Unfortunately, many records kept by the academy BOVs, including their annual reports, are not easily accessible to the public. Despite federal requirements, these reports often languish in internal reviews or remain unposted, creating a significant gap in institutional accountability. The Academy Archives aims to collect and post BOV records online in one easily accessible place.
