General Dickson outlined his strategic goals and objectives for the Montana National Guard:
- "Enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the MTANG Recruit, develop, engage, and retain diverse talent for ensured success."
- Ensure leaders at all levels champion diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic priorities. This will be accomplished through reoccurring measurement of Defense Organizational Climate Survey (DEOCS), end strength numbers, recruiting goals, and unit readiness.
- Prioritize recruiting efforts to bring in innovative new members reflective of the rich diversity of our communities
