Adjutant General, California National Guard
⚠ Key Findings
- 1 Just days after 1,200 Israeli citizens were brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7, 2023, Beevers sent a memo to all California Military Department servicemembers and employees titled "Embracing California Values Amidst the Israeli-Hamas Conflict." Rather than condemning the terrorist attack, Beevers said the CMD was "guided by principles of inclusivity, diversity, and respect for all individuals."
- 2 Known for pushing an LGBT agenda — had a flag on his office wall that said "Gay as F*ck." Led a ceremony where generals signed a pledge to be an LGBT ally and promised to educate themselves about "oppression, discrimination, heterosexism, biphobia, transphobia, and homophobia."
- 3 In 2019, the California Military Department — and Beevers himself — participated in a gay pride parade in uniform. Beevers has been an activist for LGBTQ issues across the state for many years.
