⚠ Key Findings
  • 1 Commander of USS Kearsarge when he permitted a celebration in 2020 aboard the ship. Sailors decorated the enlisted mess deck with rainbow flags, posters and other LGBT propaganda. Also participated saying: "One of the things I appreciate most about diversity events like today's is it gives us all an opportunity to demonstrate solidarity with our Shipmates—each and every one of them."
  • 2 Koprowski bragged about implementing a GLASS (Gay, Lesbian and Supportive Sailors) chapter.
  • 3 Koprowski celebrated Pride month again aboard the ship again in 2021.
  • 4 Under Koprowski's command the Kearsarge had a "Diversity Committee" and he promoted a "Task Force One" initiative which was a program created to admit more minorities—a race-based admissions program. He chose 30 of his Sailors to participate in the task force to "address the full spectrum of systemic racism, advocate for the needs of underserved communities, work to dismantle barriers."
